Reminds me of the Vans x Taka Hayashi.

The Hybrid AC ND from Nike combines a Blazer sole with an interlaced suede upper and boat shoe influenced design elements. The end result is a clean, casual sneaker with a more grown up feel than most Nike offerings. Bar the tonally embroidered Nike script on the tongue, most would have a hard time even identifying this as a Nike release. No word yet on a release date.

Originally seeing themselves at the center of well-received celebrity collaboration, a few seasons after the fact comes some Polaroid photographs which were shot by Kenneth Capello involving porn star Tera Patrick for Supreme. With Polaroid film ceasing to exist with its trademark colors and exposure, this makes for some imagery that will never be duplicated.

In Mishka’s ongoing music project “Keep Watch”, their 10th mix comes to the light as the whole Keep Watch project has quickly become a symbolic aspect of Mishka’s ties to music. The 10th volume features “electro-reggae-dancehall virtuoso” Major Lazer which comes complete with a t-shirt featuring a graphic designed by Skinny Digital. I was wondering what all the hype was about this film seeing it on nearly every blog so I finally watched the trailer. Definately worth a look, the visuals are amazing!

The first trailer of the sci-fi cult remake Tron Legacy has come out in time for Comic Con. Not only are the special effects stunning, but the album soundtrack was produced by Daftpunk. Something to look out for in 2010!

When I visited New York earlier this year my family and I stumbled across the brand JUMP in SOHO. We all loved the shoes so much that we ended up buying 6 pairs between us! I picked up a couple of pairs and am feeling this new model shown on their blog. It appears though that this shoe is an exclusive made for Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas. Regardles this brand definately seems to be gaining weight, especially amongst the celebs so look for this line to explode!!

I love Nike's take on the chukka, the silouette is so smooth. I was lucky to pick up the brown leather pair that released last year when I was in Boston at Bodega, but missed out of the grey pair that just dropped. Maybe I'll get lucky again...

Oozing all kinds of freshness is relatively new Parisian label Hype Means Nothing, racking up several collabs in its very short lifespan. Although not usually a fan of portrait tee’s, there’s something about the artistic merit of these photographs with a little fun and style. HMN’s first collection of tee’s pokes a little fun at the expense of celebrities by featuring their printed faces in black and white (for the most part) pretending to wear “fashionable sunglasses”. Check out these wetsuits created by Dutch designer diddo. While yeh they are pretty creative, I don't know about the fake shark attack one, seems like it might disrupt one's karma! Audi has really been doing some great stuff lately. Here they commissioned Gerry Judah to create this sculpture which measures just over 100 feet and weighs 44 tons. The sculpture features 2 classic Audi sport cars, the vintage legendary 1937 Auto Union Streamliner and the more recent R8 V10.

I've been wanting to purchase a varsity or bomber jacket for sometime. I think they are pretty dope however it doesn't really get cold enough to wear one in Brisbane. Anyway, despite the limited range to choose from, I think I have narrowed it down to these two available locally at Laced and Apartment respectively.

First up is one by Undefeated. Pretty simple and I like the colourway which will go with a lot of things:
My other option at this time is a classic piece by APC. While obviously it is a bit more expensive, it is very high quality, provides that 'simple fresh' look and again will suit a variety of pieces.

What do you think? APC hands down or is there others out there that I should be looking at...

3D street artist Edgar Mueller has created a cave at London's West India Quay. The massive image "Mysterious Cave" took Mueller a week of 15-hour days to create, with the artist starting as early as 3am each morning. "I think it's one of the best I've ever done," he said. Mueller paints his pieces with acrylic wall paint and always encourages the public to pose in his imaginary landscapes.

A bit of a preview from Parisian photographist, Phoks, for his upcomming Kicks Series exhibit at Creativity Lab. In only 3 years, Phoks has surpassed the title of ‘up and commer’ and has since made a name for himself using high-tech imagery, flashy colors and mixing influences such as cartoons, pop culture, sneakers and fashion. The Kicks Series exhibit will feature NIKE DUNK HI, JORDAN or AIR FORCE with overlays of cultural icons, all in black and white.

One of my favourite new artist's Big Sean is in the last issue of XXL. Signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label, Sean's debut album is due out later this year. Don't sleep on this kid, I think he is one of the most talented mc's out of the new freshman hip-hop class that is packed full of future superstars. This weekend, popular consignment sneaker shop, Flight Club, opened its third New York location, on the border of Soho and Nolita. While Flight Club originally only offered sneaker consignment, the Lafayette location takes the idea one step further by offering a selection of vintage apparel. According to men.style.com, most of the apparel “is vintage Polo Ralph Lauren, especially from the early nineties, including Polo Sport, Polo Bear, Polo Tech, and Polo Outdoorsman."

I really dig the works by Jon Burgerman. The way he is able to blend so many shapes and colours into one work is crazy. I've managed to check out a few of these spots in my travels. Bodega is a must visit for anyone going to Boston, I remember walking up and down the street twice to find the actual shop - definately the best concept of any store I've been to.
