Reminds me of the Vans x Taka Hayashi.

The Hybrid AC ND from Nike combines a Blazer sole with an interlaced suede upper and boat shoe influenced design elements. The end result is a clean, casual sneaker with a more grown up feel than most Nike offerings. Bar the tonally embroidered Nike script on the tongue, most would have a hard time even identifying this as a Nike release. No word yet on a release date.

Originally seeing themselves at the center of well-received celebrity collaboration, a few seasons after the fact comes some Polaroid photographs which were shot by Kenneth Capello involving porn star Tera Patrick for Supreme. With Polaroid film ceasing to exist with its trademark colors and exposure, this makes for some imagery that will never be duplicated.

In Mishka’s ongoing music project “Keep Watch”, their 10th mix comes to the light as the whole Keep Watch project has quickly become a symbolic aspect of Mishka’s ties to music. The 10th volume features “electro-reggae-dancehall virtuoso” Major Lazer which comes complete with a t-shirt featuring a graphic designed by Skinny Digital. I was wondering what all the hype was about this film seeing it on nearly every blog so I finally watched the trailer. Definately worth a look, the visuals are amazing!

The first trailer of the sci-fi cult remake Tron Legacy has come out in time for Comic Con. Not only are the special effects stunning, but the album soundtrack was produced by Daftpunk. Something to look out for in 2010!

When I visited New York earlier this year my family and I stumbled across the brand JUMP in SOHO. We all loved the shoes so much that we ended up buying 6 pairs between us! I picked up a couple of pairs and am feeling this new model shown on their blog. It appears though that this shoe is an exclusive made for Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas. Regardles this brand definately seems to be gaining weight, especially amongst the celebs so look for this line to explode!!

August 12th marks the US release of Scott Schuman’s long awaited book, The Sartorialist, which follows the same format as his acclaimed website. The book will be printed through Penguin, with both a paperback version, and limited edition hardcover making itself available to select book sellers. For the first time since launching the brand a couple of years ago, Original Fake presents an official collection lookbook for Fall/Winter 2009. We get a little preview of both t-shirts, graphics and cut-and-sew styles that will be released in the next couple of months. The lookbook does not show the entire new collection, but the first part of it. The website has also been updated, now giving more information around the brand, along with a dedicated blog for the Tokyo flagship store.

During this year’s Fashion Week, Alexander Gnadinger presented his book “100 Girls on Polaroid” (at N°74 in Berlin). The Polaroids showcase something that is hard to find in terms of digital photography: unaltered reality. The photographer captured, 100 girls, to show how they naturally see themselves and how they want to be seen – what you see is what you get. With the support of adidas Originals, the project also turned into a book that will be launched at the opening of an exhibition showcasing Women’s archive shoes from Adria Jeans from 1978 to an adidas for Yohi Yamamoto shoe from 2001. Adidas Originals conveys this desire for authenticity with its “Celebrate Originality” claim and created a exclusive and unique atmosphere for this launch event in the store and in the wooden hut in the backyard of N°74.

Once again Beauty & Youth by United Arrows and Vans get together to collaborate on some sneakers. After recently working on the Era, they now get together on the Chukka and just like we are used to see from the Japanese retailer, they keep it classic. The Chukka comes in brown and beige suede colorways with nice piping accents.
