Definately one of the most inspirational artists of all time. His fashion sense still drives much of the trends today, just look at the iconic jackets and bowties he wore as part of his outfits. These tees are sick.

A bit of a preview from Parisian photographist, Phoks, for his upcomming Kicks Series exhibit at Creativity Lab. In only 3 years, Phoks has surpassed the title of ‘up and commer’ and has since made a name for himself using high-tech imagery, flashy colors and mixing influences such as cartoons, pop culture, sneakers and fashion. The Kicks Series exhibit will feature NIKE DUNK HI, JORDAN or AIR FORCE with overlays of cultural icons, all in black and white.

One of my favourite new artist's Big Sean is in the last issue of XXL. Signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music label, Sean's debut album is due out later this year. Don't sleep on this kid, I think he is one of the most talented mc's out of the new freshman hip-hop class that is packed full of future superstars. This weekend, popular consignment sneaker shop, Flight Club, opened its third New York location, on the border of Soho and Nolita. While Flight Club originally only offered sneaker consignment, the Lafayette location takes the idea one step further by offering a selection of vintage apparel. According to men.style.com, most of the apparel “is vintage Polo Ralph Lauren, especially from the early nineties, including Polo Sport, Polo Bear, Polo Tech, and Polo Outdoorsman."

Although I'm a day late, thought I would throw up some skateboarding vids to celebrate "Go Skateboarding Day." First we have a vid of a former class mate of mine, Nathan Jackson. Kid kills it and I have no doubt would be blowing up if he lived in the US and not Australia. Twins Dee & Ricky Jackson from Staten Island, NY never cease to amaze with their creativity and bravado. Famous for their lego inspired belts and accessories, the two got their big break when their pieces featured in Marc Jacobs fashion show last year. Not only do they continue to produce some of the hottest accessories (see their new "bogie brooches") but they always front in some fresh looks. I really dig the works by Jon Burgerman. The way he is able to blend so many shapes and colours into one work is crazy. He is known for these massive drawings he creates on walls that people then come to exhibitions and colour parts in. You can even buy black and white wallpaper where you can do the same thing!

Went and saw the hangover today, funny ass movie! Photobook at the end in the credits was hilarious. Nothing worse then waking up the next day after a big night and having absolutely no memory. Leaves one feeling a little vulnerable!! That I can relate to...

I've managed to check out a few of these spots in my travels. Bodega is a must visit for anyone going to Boston, I remember walking up and down the street twice to find the actual shop - definately the best concept of any store I've been to.

I've been thinking about a Nooka watch for sometime. These new ones look pretty dope. It's a toss up between these and the glow in the dark one for me.
